Quality & Testing Standards

Every RCM Biosciences research peptide is batch-tested for ≥98% purity by an independent third-party analytical laboratory. Each order ships with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA) documenting lot number, purity, identity, and methodology.

Our testing standards

  • Minimum purity: ≥98% (documented on the batch-specific CoA)
  • Testing method: reverse-phase HPLC for purity; mass spectrometry for identity confirmation
  • Testing performed by: independent third-party analytical laboratory
  • Form: typically dry powder (per product CoA)
  • Labeling: research use only — not for human or animal use

Certificate of Analysis (CoA)

The CoA is the single source of truth for each lot. It documents the lot number, batch or manufacturing date, purity percentage, identity confirmation, physical form, and testing methodology used by the third-party laboratory. The CoA is included with every order. Researchers can also request the current CoA in advance by emailing the catalog number to research@rcmbiosciences.com.

Storage & handling

Products are stored in controlled environments and shipped according to peptide-specific stability guidance — typically cool, dry, and protected from light. Dilution and ongoing storage should follow the batch CoA and standard laboratory peptide handling practice.

Chain of custody

Each batch is associated with a unique lot identifier. The lot identifier appears on the product label, the shipping documentation, and the CoA, ensuring full traceability from receipt to laboratory bench.

Frequently Asked Questions

What purity level do RCM Biosciences peptides meet?

All RCM Biosciences research peptides are batch-tested for ≥98% purity. The exact purity for each lot is documented in the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA) that ships with every order.

Who performs the testing?

Testing is performed by independent third-party analytical laboratories. Methods typically include reverse-phase HPLC for purity, mass spectrometry for identity confirmation, and additional tests per the CoA.

What is in a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?

A CoA documents the product name, lot number, manufacturing or batch date, purity percentage, identity confirmation, physical form (typically dry powder), and the testing methodology used.

How are products stored before shipping?

Products are stored according to peptide-specific stability guidance — typically cool, dry, and protected from light. Refer to the per-product CoA for batch-specific handling notes.

How are orders packaged?

Orders ship in tamper-evident packaging with the Certificate of Analysis and research-use-only labeling clearly visible. Items requiring cold-chain handling are shipped with appropriate insulation.

Can I request the CoA before purchasing?

Yes. Contact research@rcmbiosciences.com referencing the catalog number; we will share the current batch CoA on request.

Are products tested against contaminants?

Standard testing includes purity, identity, and form verification. Additional contaminant testing is documented on the CoA when applicable. Methodology is disclosed on the certificate.
